IONNA slashes EV fast charging rates nearly in half for Labor Day weekend
The charging network is offering significantly reduced rates across its entire infrastructure during the holiday period.
IONNA, the joint electric vehicle charging venture backed by major automakers, is rolling out a substantial promotional discount timed to coincide with the Labor Day holiday travel period. From September 4 through September 7, drivers using the network will encounter reduced charging rates at all available locations.
The promotion sets charging rates at $0.20 per kilowatt-hour, excluding applicable taxes, representing a near-50 percent reduction from typical pricing structures. The discount applies universally across IONNA's entire charging network, making it accessible to any driver with access to the platform during the specified dates.
The timing capitalizes on the Labor Day weekend, when many drivers typically undertake longer road trips. By reducing the per-kilowatt-hour cost to near-promotional lows, IONNA aims to make long-distance EV travel more economically attractive during a traditionally busy travel period.
