NeoVolta secures 9 GWh battery cell supply from SK On
The US battery storage company has locked in a five-year partnership to source domestically manufactured cells from the South Korean supplier.
NeoVolta Power, a battery storage specialist based in the United States, has entered into a supply agreement with SK On, a Seoul-based battery manufacturer, to source nine gigawatt-hours of cells over five years. The deal centers on battery cells manufactured within the US, supporting NeoVolta's efforts to scale production capacity.
The partnership underscores growing momentum in domestic battery cell manufacturing, with SK On committing to supply domestically produced materials to American battery storage makers. This arrangement enables NeoVolta to expand operations while maintaining access to reliable, American-sourced components amid ongoing reshoring trends in the energy storage sector.
By securing this long-term supply commitment, NeoVolta gains production visibility and supply chain stability needed to meet rising demand for battery storage solutions across the US market.
