Tesla Seeks Fleet Partners for Robotaxi Network Expansion
The automaker is recruiting outside companies to operate autonomous vehicle fleets while excluding Full Self-Driving owners from participation.

Tesla has launched an initiative to gauge commercial interest in operating autonomous vehicle fleets by distributing what it calls a Robotaxi interest form. The document targets fleet management companies and logistics providers looking to build autonomous networks or supply supporting services for Tesla's Cybercab vehicles.
This represents Tesla's first formal effort to involve external partners in developing the broader Robotaxi ecosystem. Rather than keeping fleet operations in-house, the company is seeking entities with existing transportation infrastructure and operational expertise.
Notably, the outreach excludes existing Full Self-Driving owners from fleet participation opportunities. This distinction suggests Tesla intends to segment its autonomous offerings between individual consumers and commercial operators, with fleet operations remaining restricted to approved business partners.
The interest form serves as an initial screening mechanism, allowing Tesla to identify and qualify potential collaborators before moving toward formal fleet agreements. The company appears focused on building partnerships with established transportation businesses rather than enabling individual FSD owners to monetize their vehicles through organized networks.
